Even though our members are retired from their school districts, they continue to contribute to and make a huge difference in our communities.  This page will recognize the honors bestowed upon our members throughout the year!  We are honored to have these inspiring people as members in the ranks of our organization.  Please join MCREA in congratulating these members for their wonderful accomplishments and recognitions.

Shirley Satterfield, one of our members, is this year’s recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Award.  Shirley will receive this honor virtually at the NJEA Equity Alliance Conference being held on January 15th and 16th.  Some of you may know Shirley through her work as a guidance counselor in Princeton, or her time teaching in East Windsor.

The Mercer County Education Association recently honored our very own Shirley Hicks with their Distinguished Service Award.

Shirley continues to remain very involved in MCEA activities, and volunteers her time with many charitable organizations.  Shirley’s significant accomplishments as an MCEA chairperson and member of several committees cannot be overstated.
We are so fortunate that Shirley is sharing her time and talents with MCREA now as our ESP Liaison.
Please join me in congratulating Shirley on this well-deserved award!
